Concorso Italiano 2011 wants your original or barn-find Italian car to be featured at this year’s show, scheduled to be held Friday, August 19th at Laguna Seca Golf Ranch in Monterey, California.
The 2011 edition of Concorso Italiano plans to honor these great survivors and recognize those owners who have helped to preserve their originality and have resisted the temptation to restore, and in a worst case scenario, over-restore. The Concorso Italiano “Centerpiece Display” will feature an exhibit of a broad range of cars from all Italian Marques, selected on several criteria including uniqueness, interesting find story, etc.
To qualify for the Concorso Italiano display, entrants need an “original” 1973 or earlier Italian car, with original determined as 80% original paint, chrome and interior, including leather and carpets. Mechanically the car should be in operating condition. Modern tires are acceptable if they are of the size originally equipped by the factory. You must be able to document the originality of your car. Some exceptions may be allowed.
To apply for consideration in the Concorso Italiano 2011 “Centerpiece Display”, send photos and a description of your car along to ci@concorso.com. All applications will be reviewed and a limited number of participants will be selected.
