The Ford Motor Company has announced a two-day festival to celebrate its 100th anniversary in motorsport. The Oct. 13-14 event, to be held at Detroit’s Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village, will feature a large collection of Ford racecars spanning from 1901 to 2001.
Some of the planned festivities include a race demonstration of 1901-era cars, including Henry Ford’s Old “999,” a classic car show, as well as appearances by Parnelli Jones, Dan Gurney, Jackie Stewart, George Follmer, Ned Jarrett, John Force and Bob Glidden.
