Fans of the H-Modified category of small displacement racing specials can rejoice at the news that the Over the Hill Gang, a club devoted to these diminutive racers, has been reformed.
At this year’s Gold Cup Historics, held at VIR, it was announced that the Over The Hill Gang, founded by the late Joe Puckett, has been revitalized and will now also include D-sports racers as well as H-Modifieds. Immediate plans include the publication of a quarterly newsletter that will offer owners and enthusiasts a resource for news and history, as well as cars and parts for sale. Future plans include East and West Coast reunions in addition to special-run groups at selected events. According to the club’s Charles Christ, “This resurrection of the club has been done to honor Joe and offer the owners of these cars an information source through which they may restore, maintain and again compete with these cars.” For more information, contact Charles Christ, Sr., at 9236 Newton Rd., Breinigsville, PA 18031 or by e-mail at cfchrist@earthlink.net
