Following this year’s successful inaugural Concours d’Elegance, Heveningham Hall has announced that next year’s event will be held on July 8-9, 2017, alongside its annual Country Fair. There will also be a brand-new associated event held on July 7: the Suffolk Border Tour, with a number of the Concours cars taking to the road in a magnificent display.
The Concours is set to feature around 50 prominent pre- and post-war cars. Already confirmed is a selection of Ferraris and McLarens, with many more groundbreaking cars from different eras set to join them at a Concours with a difference.
The Suffolk Border Tour will take place before the Concours on Friday, with participating cars completing a 50-mile route around Suffolk, stopping for a “hillbilly barbecue” lunch, before returning to Heveningham for a black-tie dinner to kick off the weekend. Details of the Tour’s itinerary will be published shortly.
“Last year was a great event and we had a stunning line up of cars,” noted Max Hunt, chairman of the Concours judging panel. “We are looking forward to going bigger and better this year with some new ideas, including the Suffolk Border Tour, and I’m delighted we have already confirmed some really amazing cars.”
The annual Heveningham Hall Country Fair typically hosts around 20,000 visitors, and each year the Heveningham Hall Country Fair Trust distributes all proceeds to local communities for village and school projects, church repairs and individual cases of need, such as Halesworth Community Nursing Care Fund.
