The Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival & Concours d’Elegance has announced the selection of Jaguar as its honored marque for this year’s Festival, scheduled for October 24 through November 2. The Festival also named Edsel B. Ford II, great-grandson of Henry Ford, as its Honorary Chairman and guest judge. Comprised of the Savannah Speed Classic at Hutchinson Island’s The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa, and the Concours d’Elegance at Hilton Head Island’s Port Royal Golf Club, the Festival is one of the few national automotive gatherings to combine racing, collecting, enthusiast and lifestyle activities within the same week.
“With a display of Jaguar racecars planned for this year’s Savannah Speed Classic and three classes of Jaguars to be displayed at this year’s Concours d’Elegance,” noted Festival President Carolyn Vanagel, “we will have a truly unique and full-scale representation offering enthusiasts, owners and collectors an opportunity to immerse themselves in the heritage of the iconic British brand.”
This year’s Festival will also celebrate 100 years of Maserati and 50 years of American Muscle with the Ford Mustang and Pontiac GTO, and Sunday’s Concours will feature special classes to honor these three milestones.
