This year’s Meadowbrook Concours, to be held August 4 in Rochester, Michigan, will pay special tribute to the legacy of innovative racecar builder Frank Kurtis, with a special collection of his race and street cars.
Kurtis began building midget racecars in the early ’30s, but by the ’50s started building racecars for the Indianapolis 500. All told, Kurtis Indy cars won the 500 a total of five times including ’50, ’51, ’53, ’54 and ’55.
