Leake Auction Company’s recent Oklahoma City auction marked $6.8 million in sales with 77 percent of the nearly 400 vehicles on offer being sold. Held at the Bennett Event Center on February 23 and 24, the two-day auction’s top seller, was a 2008 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, part of the Rolland Collection from California, that sold for $308,000 without reserve.
“This was an outstanding sale,” said Richard Sevenoaks, General Manager of Leake Auction Company. “There were a few weather issues in Oklahoma City before the auction began, but they didn’t hinder us from achieving strong results. We were especially pleased with the response to the Rolland and other collections offered without reserve. No doubt, when cars are sold unreserved there is an added level of excitement.”
The auctions top six sellers were:
- 2008 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren – $308,000
