Aiming to build on the foundation of a successful inaugural, the second Legends of Riverside event has been scheduled for the weekend of March 26–28, 2010. Part film festival, part gala, and part reunion, the renewal of this year’s sold-out weekend should once again draw a fine collection of racing heroes and historic machines to the grounds of Doug Magnon’s Riverside International Automotive Museum in that California desert city.
“Our plans and schedule of events will be announced very shortly,” said project consultant Dave Wolin, whose original Yosemite Film Festival was the seed from which the Riverside event sprouted. “We’ll show some great racing films, have some wonderful food and drink, and hear ‘formally’ from many of our heroes; but what everyone heard about our first effort is true, the direct access and informal interchange with a whole group of authentic motor sports legends is the real appeal of this gathering. And it will be again next time.”
