Masters Historic Racing’s busy summer schedule will get under way in England on the weekend of July 4-5 with the Masters Four Hours at Donington Park, with a four-hour enduro for Pre-’66 GT, GTP and Touring Cars as the centerpiece of the Masters Festival on the popular Leicestershire circuit.
Three weeks later, July 24-26, still in the UK, Masters will unleash an unprecedented field of more than 40 historic Formula One cars from the three-liter DFV era at the Silverstone Classic, an annual highlight of the Masters season.
Then, on August 14-16 at California’s Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, some 35 historic Grand Prix cars will feature at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion as competitors from Europe join the North American series regulars.
About the latter of these three events Masters’ U.S. Event Manager Shelly Shafer Cates says, “We are amazed by the entry for our Laguna Seca races, and it is great to see such a variety of cars coming back out to race. The enthusiasm showed by our local drivers is really encouraging because they are helping to make Masters USA the place to race.”
