Mecum Auctions returned to its suburban Chicagoland roots last weekend for Mecum Chicago 2016 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center, where 435 cars were sold for an aggregate total of $10.5 million over the course of the three days. Topping the list was a fully restored 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback in Grabber Blue (above) that gaveled for $245,000. Next best seller was a 1966 Shelby GT350H that brought in $137,500, followed by a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible selling for $123,000 and a 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet that went for an even $100,000.
