Mecum Auctions has hosted sales in Kansas City, Missouri, for more than 20 years, and will do so again next month, March 11-12, at the Kansas City Convention Center where an estimated 700 American muscle cars, classics, Corvettes, Hot Rods, Resto Mods and more will cross the auction block.
The auction’s main attractions will include a 1968 Shelby GT500KR Fastback with a matching-number 428 Cobra Jet Engine and a factory four-speed transmission. Recently restored, the car has a black exterior and black interior. The car remained in the possession of the original owner until 2005 before it underwent a frame-off restoration. Also consigned are 10 low-mileage Chevrolet Camaros from the Matt Wagoner Collection, including a 2012 Chevrolet Callaway Camaro 45th Anniversary with only 5,043 actual miles that is one of just five produced.
The Convention Center will open its doors daily at 8 a.m. with the auction beginning at 8:30. NBC Sports Network will broadcast nine hours of auction coverage, including live coverage on Saturday, March 12 from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. For complete information, please visit www.Mecum.com.
