As winter arrives in the Northern Hemisphere, the reverse occurs south of the equator with summer coming on and bringing with it the height of racing season. This site focuses on racing and photographs of it from Australia and New Zealand, with each country having a separate “home” section on the site, along with several other categories including Car Profiles, Driver Profiles, and a Reading Room.
One of the site’s stated purposes is to serve as an activist dedicated to preserving and, in some cases, restoring and enhancing old photos. A great archive of Antipodean racing history is presented in the form of these annotated images, with many seemingly arcane facts ready for general consumption at the discretion of the user.
