The International Motor Racing Research Library at Watkins Glen has recently announced the appointment of Michael Rand as its new Executive Director.
Mr. Rand, 54, joins the Research Center from a distinguished career in motorsport that has included positions in marketing, management, business development and operations. Rand’s résumé includes time as the General Manager of IMSA and SVRA, as well as most recently, V.P. and General Manager of Virginia International Raceway.
According to Rand, “As a lifelong enthusiast for all types of motorsport, I am extremely excited with the challenges and opportunites presented by this impressive and significant facility.”
