Porsche Rennsport Reunion V will invade Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca this weekend with the world’s largest gathering of Porsche racecars, featuring a wide variety of the German automaker’s best offerings, ranging from the 550 Spyder of the 1950 through the legendary 917s and 956/962 models, into the modern era with the RS Spyder from a decade ago.
A total of 281 racecars are scheduled to contest seven race groups around the undulating 2.238-mile dry lake circuit. Beyond the action on the track, attendees will find 63 Porsches in the Chopard Heritage Display, 15 Porsches in the Legends of Le Mans garages and, of course, more than 1,400 Porsches in 20 corrals dedicated to various aspects of the marque.

Group 1: Sholar-Friedman Cup for Porsche Club of America racecars
Group 2: Gmund Cup for 550 and RSK variants, either 4 or 8 cylinders, 2000 GSGT, Abarth Carrera, 356, 904-4cam and Porsche specials
Group 3: Eifel Trophy for 911 variants up to 2.5 liters as well as 914, 914/6
Group 4: Weissach Cup for 904-6 cyl, 906, 910, 907, 908, 909 and 917 (both turbocharged and not)
Group 5: Carrera Trophy for 911s over 2.5 liter, RSR, 3.0 RSR, 2.1 Turbo, 934, 935, 936, 924s
Group 6: Stuttgart Cup for 956, 962, GT1, WSC, RS Spyder, 964, 993, 996, 997
Group 7: Rennsport Reunion Cup for IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge
