RM Sotheby’s is set to bring 170 motorcars to its single-day Santa Monica auction in the California seaside city’s historic Barker Hangar on Saturday June 24. Included in the selection are a number stunning American Classics, including one of the most distinctive and respected cars from the Classic Era, a 1934 Packard Twelve Club Sedan (above photo courtesy of RM Sotheby’s). One of only a handful built, this car is arguably the best example of its kind in existence. Among the other American Classics at the sale will be a pure, matching-numbers 1929 Duesenberg Model J and a highly sought-after 1930 Cadillac V16 wearing its original roadster body.
The remainder of the sale lineup ranges from a recently restored 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, finished in a unique shade of light green over a dark green interior, to a U.S.-delivery 1992 Ferrari F40 with less than 16,000 miles on its odometer.
