This year, SAAC (Shelby American Automobile Club) celebrated its 25th year with an enormous five-day gathering of street and racing Shelbys at Connecticut’s beautiful Lime Rock Park Raceway. The event, held from June 30 – July 3, included on-track racing and high-speed driving sessions, as well as a massive concours/car show and numerous dinners and barbecues. In addition to the over 10,000 spectators taking in the 100s of Cobra’s, GT350s, Tiger’s and GT40s, there was also a virtual “Who’s Who” of racing legends in attendance. Some of the influential names who took part in the nearly week-long festivities included: Carroll Shelby, Bob Bondurant, John Morton, Al Dowd, Lew Spencer, Chuck Cantwell, Leo Beebe, Ray Geddes, Tom Payne, Bob Johnson, Walt Hane and Dave Jordan.
