The sixth annual Santa Fe Concorso, a gathering of more than 120 rare and exotic cars, motorcycles, and bicycles, will take place on September 25-27, 2015, at The Club at Las Campanas, a stunning development located just 15 minutes from the historic Plaza in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The three-day automotive celebration includes a Friday afternoon seminar, a Friday evening reception at the Santa Fe Air Center with vintage aircraft on display, a Saturday mountain driving tour to a remote New Mexico village, and on Sunday the judged exhibition of classic American and European automobiles, historic racing machines, rarely seen motorcycles, as well as a special collection of Ferrari race and street cars.
Luigi Chinetti, Jr., the guest of honor, will discuss his father’s relationship with Enzo Ferrari that culminated in Ferrari selling cars in the U.S., as well as organizing the North American Racing Team (NART) featuring Ferrari racecars. Throughout the Concorso weekend, a series of tributes to Denise McCluggage, renown journalist, race car driver, and photographer, who in 2010 along with Phil Hill, the only America-born Formula One World Champion, provided the initial motivation to establish the Santa Fe Concorso.
The Concorso main event takes place on Sunday, September 29, when the rare and exotic cars, motorcycles and bicycles will be displayed on the 9th fairway of the Sunrise Golf Course at The Club at Las Campanas. The show field, inclining upward from the Clubhouse, provides a unique opportunity for attendees to view of all of the entered vehicles with the Aspen-clad Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the background. Examples of vehicles on display include a 1907 Jewel Stanhope; a 1919 Packard Landaulet; a rare 1924 Henderson Deluxe motorcycle; a one-off 1936 Delahaye 135 Competition; a 1951 Cunningham C2 Roadster, a 2015 class winner at Pebble Beach; and the last Ferrari to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1965 (above), driven by American Masten Gregory and Austrian Jochen Rindt.
