Whether you love Anglias and Cortinas, lust after Capris and Pumas, or just have a thing for Focuses and Mondeos, a showing of more than 1,500 Ford-badged vehicles is expected for Beaulieu’s “Simply Ford” outing on Sunday April 30.
Simply Ford is one of eight “Simply” rallies dedicated to a single marque, including Simply Porsche, Simply VW, Simply Land Rover, Simply Jaguar, Simply Japanese and Simply Smart. The next rally will be Simply Porsche on June 4.
Since its launch in 2010, the Ford rally is one of Beaulieu’s most popular, with high scores for sheer variety. Modern Ford models are at the heart of the event, with Focuses, Mondeos, Fiestas and Pumas well represented, not to mention the legendary Transit van. There will be plenty of eye-catching classic Fords on show as well, including a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Ford Escort Mk1, with a special area set aside for modified examples of the much-loved family car.
Ford owners can drive into the Beaulieu parkland to join the varied lineup, with the chance to meet other enthusiasts, admire the Fords on display and enjoy all of the features of one of Great Britain’s leading visitor attractions. The event will likely be supported by a variety of enthusiast marque and model groups, clubs dedicated to specific Ford ranges, and throughout the day participants and visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite car of the show in the People’s Choice Award. The winner will receive a Beaulieu trophy before leading a parade of the most popular cars through the grounds.
