Spa-Francorchamps, May 1967, the fourth round of the ’67 World Championship. The Ecurie Belge Ferrari 412P Chassis No. 0850 (driven by Willy Mairesse) leads the 4th placed Ferrari P4 of Mike Parkes and Ludovico Scarfiotti at the start of Spa’s 1000-km race as they enter Eau Rouge for the first time. The distinctive high wing of the Chapparral 2F can be seen amongst the Ferrari’s spray in a wet scene typical of the circuit. Both cars failed to finish and the eventual winner, Jacky Ickx and Dick Thompson’s Mirage, is just ahead of the Belgian Ferrari.
