As of December 30, Stirling Moss will now be known as Sir Stirling Moss. Sir Moss was knighted in the Queen’s New Year’s Honors List in recognition of his long-term contribution to motorsport. Moss spoke to VRJ upon hearing the news: “To me, it’s greater than all the victories I had while I was racing. It is a real tribute to the popularity and importance of motorsport.” Moss was also awarded the coveted Gold Medal of the British Racing Drivers Club in November, becoming the first driver to receive the award. Other recipients include Frank Williams, Bernie Ecclestone and Ken Tyrrell for lifetime contributions to motorsport.
