Brian Redman’s Targa Sixty-Six will return to Florida’s Palm Beach International Raceway on the weekend of February 17-19, 2018. Redman staged the inaugural event in 1991 for owners of vintage and modern high performance and collector cars who do not necessarily wish to race them, but who would rather drive at speed under controlled conditions, in the company of others with like interests.
Each event includes three days of track use, with the normal schedule running from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Members can expect to have six to eight hours of track time over the course of the weekend — more if they feel up to it! The cars are divided into three groups; each group gets 30 minutes running time in each of the rotating sessions. For example:
Group A – out at 9:30 a.m. includes: High-performance cars such as Indycars, IMSA cars, Ferrari F40s, Ford GT40s, Lola T70s etc.
Group B – out at 10:00 a.m. includes: Cars that, by virtue of their type and age, are inherently slower such as Mini Coopers, Fiat Abarths, Porsche 356s, Lotus 7s, MGBs etc.
and Group C – out at 10:30 a.m. includes: Cars of a lower performance, or owners who wish to drive at a more moderate pace.
The cycle then repeats at regular intervals. For further information please visit www.gorace.com/About-5.html
