Another in the continuing stream of new country club-style motorsports facilities has been announced, with the new Thermal Motorsports Track & Club near Palm Springs, California, targeting a fall opening. Located on a 344-acre portion of the larger Kohl Ranch tract, the privately owned club plans to host amateur and club events on variations of a layout comprised of three independent courses with the flexibility to run 19 unique configurations. The 4.5 miles of track, complete with a 2,500-foot main straightaway, have been designed by Alan Wilson.
Unique on-track lot ownership options allow members to design and build their own garages and entertainment areas, yet still retain all the amenities of a world-class country club. Beyond private membership and lot ownership, much interest has been expressed by automotive groups seeking to establish product development and brand experience centers on site.
Located adjacent to the cities of La Quinta, Indio and Coachella, Thermal’s accessibility is what truly makes the Thermal facility and its associated lifestyle special. With the Palm Springs International and Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airports nearby, both the track and living community are allowed easy access from Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas and Phoenix. Additionally, Thermal sits within 10 miles of many high-end country clubs, making it an ideal family destination for both member and guest. For more information visit www.thermal122.com
