Tony Gaze street and corner were christened at Melbourne’s Albert Park during this year’s Australian Grand Prix weekend at the city park venue. Emanuele Pirro, vice president of F1’s Grand Prix Drivers Club, was among those who witnessed the ceremony.
Gaze was a highly admired and respected long-time member of the club—as well as the Australian motor sport community—who passed away on July 29, 2013, at the age of 93. He will now forever be fittingly remembered with this fresh, new accolade.
