Many special events are being planned to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta in April 1954. Starting on April 21–24, organizers of the famed California Mille will hold a special two-day driving event from Northern California’s Sausalito to Mendocino and back, followed by a Saturday car show in Sausalito. Cars will be judged, primarily for authenticity, and awards will be presented at a Saturday awards luncheon. Entry is limited to 750 and 101 series Alfas only. For entry information, e-mail fcjchiu@comcast.net or call Felix Chiu at (650) 358-0127.
Subsequently, on May 7–9, the Classic Sports Racing Group (CSRG) will honor the 50th anniversary of the Giulietta at its vintage race weekend at Thunderhill Park. In addition to Alfa Romeo, this event will also feature Historic Formula One and Formula Junior. For more information go to http://csrgracing.org/
