Worldwide Auctioneers announced that its premier catalog event – The Auburn Auction – will this year serve as the climax to an expanded three-day sale, showcasing and limited to an additional 450 motorcars, led by a 1929 Duesenberg Model J LeBaron Dual Cowl Phaeton.
“Many of the great cars have traded hands here in Auburn over the years. This, after all, is where the industry was born,” said Rod Egan, Managing Partner and also the company’s Chief Auctioneer. “Labor Day weekend in Auburn has long been the bedrock of the classic car calendar. Our absolute commitment is to give traditional collectors the ongoing incentive to keep coming back and to welcome new enthusiasts with an exciting selection of superior motorcars, a dynamic, re-energized environment, and a level of service that is simply second to none.”
The expanded Auburn Auction is now scheduled to take place from Thursday, September 2nd through Saturday, September 4th, 2010 on the grounds of Worldwide’s headquarters in Auburn, as an integral part of the celebrated and long-standing Auburn Cord Duesenberg Weekend. The Auburn Auction itself, limited to just 80 automobiles, will be held as usual on the evening of Saturday, September 4th.
“We will present 150 additional motorcars each day over the three day period, with consignments limited to that number to enable us to properly manage and regulate quality and presentation,” said John Kruse, Managing Partner. “We are thrilled to be in a position to build upon the success of The Auburn Auction and look forward to playing a key role in Auburn’s ongoing evolution at the heart of this great industry.”
Consignments may be discussed with Rod Egan, John Kruse, or any of Worldwide’s motorcar specialists at +1 (260) 925-6789. For more information, visit www.wwgauctions.com.
